What the Masterclass Covers

It is a carefully structured, academically grounded workshop built entirely around the examination process itself and the world of opportunity that a strong set of results opens up. From exam technique to case studies, and career guidance, I will be counselling students to perform with a broader and more informed understanding so they can have the clarity and direction of where their results can take them.

01
Targeted Strategies for GCSE and A Level Exams
Having achieved straight A* grades across GCSE and A Level, this part of the session is built on firsthand experience of what it genuinely takes to perform at the highest level. Your students will be guided through the discipline of reading exam questions with precision, understanding exactly what is being asked of them, allocating time thoughtfully across a paper and recognising the patterns of error that consistently cost students marks at both GCSE and A Level.
02
Subject-Specific Worked Examples and Full-Mark Answers
After years of working closely with GCSE and A Level students across Maths, Physics, English and Humanities, one of the most valuable things that can be offered to a student at this stage is a clear and honest demonstration of what a full-mark answer looks like and precisely why it merits that distinction. Students are walked through real worked examples with transparency, drawing on a deep familiarity with the mark schemes that govern these qualifications.
03
Case Studies and Critical Thinking Challenges
A career spanning the London School of Economics, Deloitte UK and the United Nations has shaped a firm belief that meaningful learning happens through application. Students are presented with exam scenarios and carefully selected case studies that make them think critically. The tasks are designed to develop the kind of critical and analytical rigour that GCSE and A Level mark schemes reward most substantially.
04
A Revision Framework Students Can Use Straight Away
A structured and practical revision framework built specifically around the way GCSE and A Level examinations are designed, weighted and assessed. Having understood the examination system at the highest level and supported hundreds of students through it since, I know what a focused revision needs to look like in the weeks preceding an exam.
05
Live, Interactive Q&A with an Experienced Exam Mentor
Dedicated time is set aside at the close of every session for an open, unhurried conversation with students. In this work, some of the most important breakthroughs happen, especially when a student feels genuinely comfortable raising the question they have been carrying with them for weeks. With the experience of having sat these examinations personally and having worked closely with young people preparing for them over many years, every concern that students bring to this part of the session is met with the same seriousness, care and understanding.

Haris Jawaid

Chartered Accountant · Entrepreneur · Award-Winning Tutor & Mentor

Having achieved straight A* grades at GCSE and A Level before reading Economics at the University of Warwick and completing a Masters at the London School of Economics, my understanding of the examination system comes from having navigated it successfully myself. A career subsequently undertaken across Deloitte UK, NatWest Group and the United Nations has lent an equally rigorous professional dimension to that foundation, and it is the meeting of those two worlds that gives this workshop its distinctive character and authority.

Frequently Asked Questions

We have put together answers to the questions we hear most often from headteachers and school leadership teams. If there is anything not covered here, please do not hesitate to get in touch directly.

When are sessions available and how do we book one?
Sessions are running throughout June and July 2026 and slots are limited, so the sooner you get in touch the better. We allocate dates on a first-come, first-served basis and will do our best to find something that works around your school calendar.
Which students is the workshop designed for?
The workshop is designed for students in Years 10, 11, 12 and 13 who are preparing for GCSE and A Level examinations and the ones who need university selection guidance. It can be delivered to a single year group, a specific subject cohort, or a mixed group.
Does Haris come to us, or do we need to travel somewhere?
Haris comes to you. There is no venue to arrange, no travel to organise for students and nothing to sort beyond giving us a room and a time. Everything else is handled from our end so the day runs as smoothly as possible for your school.
Is this genuinely free? Are there any costs or commitments attached?
Yes, completely. There is no fee and no obligation of any kind. We are offering schools a free in-school session this June/July because we believe in the value of what we do and we want more students to benefit from it.
How large can the group be? Is there a minimum or maximum number of students?
The workshop works well with groups of varying sizes, from a single classroom of around 15 to 25 students through to a full year group in a hall setting. The format and delivery style are adjusted accordingly.
What do we need to provide or prepare before the session?
Very little is required from the school. A suitable room or hall space with a projector or screen is all that is needed. Haris brings all his own materials and resources. If you can let us know in advance which year groups and subjects will be attending, we can tailor the content accordingly.
How does this fit in with our safeguarding and visitor policies?
We are fully aware that schools have clear safeguarding protocols for external visitors and we are entirely comfortable working within those. Haris holds a valid enhanced DBS check and we are happy to provide all necessary documentation in advance of the visit.
How quickly can a session be arranged? What is the process once we get in touch?
Once you make contact, we aim to respond within 48 hours. The process is deliberately simple. We will have a short conversation to understand your school's needs, agree on a suitable date, and confirm the practical details. From that point, very little is required from you. We will handle the rest and will be in touch in the days before the session to confirm the final arrangements.
We are interested but June does not work for us. Can we arrange something for a different time of year?
Just reach out and tell us what works for you. Share your preferences, let us know what your students need and when, and we will see what we can put together.
